Want to help at a South African based Charity?

Here’s your chance! In the past volunteers have brought from Belgium and the UK their expertise, enthusiasm and willingness to serve to SLOT. Some have stayed for a few months, others have stayed longer. With the exception of flights, SLOT can help organise your itinerary, rustic accommodation, catering and laundry all at a reasonable cost. We can also help you organise trips to see some of South Africa’s major tourist attractions like Wildlife Parks and the Drakensberg mountains.

Most volunteers that visit SLOT do practical work on site and on any current projects. They help with the courses we run and work closely with the students investing in their lives. Some volunteers have had very specific roles as part of research that they were involved in. All volunteers have to have a willingness to get involved and do whatever is necessary in the best interests of the SLOT students.  The first step to volunteering at SLOT is to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!

Below are some of the volunteers that have served at SLOT:

Local Volunteers

Youth are encouraged to volunteer their time, and to serve other charities working in their areas. The extra hands and help are always needed, and they strive to make a difference in their communities by helping in the following projects.

* Feeding schemes.
* Aids orphans care.
* Care of the aged.
* Community clean up.
* Helping at schools and creches.

UK Volunteers

We have had the privilege of having volunteers from NGM (New Generation Movement) UK work with the students, teaching them Music, Drama and Dance.
